Another Super Typhoon For The Philippines

I came to know this news 2 days ago and it's worrying the heck out of me. The forecast by PAGASA made me more worried since their predictions aren't accurate. I hope they will release the designated storm signals soon as this would be a great aid on what to do next. I know we must always be prepared no matter what signal we'll be in, at least, we'll know our standing. The sad thing is, PAGASA's website is currently down maybe due to thousands of visitors visiting the page. As I'm writing this post, I can feel the wind shifted and the sun is slowly covered by dark clouds. I guess the super typhoon will land very soon. For now, all we need to do is to give our silent prayer that somehow, our loved ones will be safe and this country can once again stand this test of nature. Keep safe Philippines!!!

Here are the 10 important things to check before, during and after a super typhoon:

1. Inform your family, friends, loved ones and the like about the storm.

2. Always check updates from reliable weather and news forecast. (TV, Radio, Facebook, etc.)

3. Have an emergency exit plan.The inside of your home is not always safe (unplug appliances and stay away from glass windows). Ask friends or relatives for help. Find a safe place (somewhere elevated and of sturdy materials).

4. Evacuate as soon as possible when necessary esp. those people living near the coastal areas or big body of waters, areas with high risked of flash floods, landslides and surrounded with trees.

5. Check basic emergency supplies like water, instant foods (noodles, biscuits, candies, canned goods, etc.), batteries, ziploc bags (place important documents and gadgets inside), blankets, clothes, candles,matches, lighters, fire starters, flashlights, first aid kit, mosquito prevention, floating life saving device and ways of communication.

5. Check your pets safety too and their needs. (ID tags, cage, leash, mouth guard, waste disposal supplies and the like)

6. Check special items for infants like diapers, baby food, and the like.

7. Always prepare basic tools like swiss knives, screwdrivers, hammer, scissors, cutters, and some kitchen tools and utensils.

8. Elderly, disabled, sick and pregnant family member's needs must always be ready (e.g. oxygen supply, wheelchairs, etc.)

9. Always remain calm but always be alert from possible intruders, looters, or other similar situation during and after a typhoon.

10. Prayers and hope that all our loved ones are all safe. Properties may be lost and found but the lives of our loved ones can't be replaced anymore.

The Irony Of The Tanning Sunblock

Hello guys! Summer is finally here and going out outdoors seems to be very dangerous since the sun's UV rays can cause skin cancer, sunburn, melasma and so much more. As I've told you in my previous posts, me and my boyfriend loves tilling the land and garden in our free time plus I love biking and swimming too to burn all the calories. My mom is an Avon dealer as part of her many many sidelines and came to browse the latest brochures for this summer 2014 and found a good deal with their sunblock products. To make the story short,  I ordered the lotion and spray. The former for my face and the latter for the body parts. The items are enclosed inside an orange yellow box and the labels promised to give you a sun protection up to 30 spf. Spf 30 are supposed to protect your skin by 97%, spf 15 by 93% respectively and the
higher the spf, the higher the the protection you can get from the sun but it doesn't mean that you can stay under the sun long enough without reapplication. I have a fair skin and so does my boyfriend too and he was the first to test the product and went to the garden around 1 in the afternoon. I applied the spray to my right hand only to test it later on but when my boyfriend came back after 30 minutes, what happened is he looks like chocolate in just 30 minutes under exposure from the sun. What the hell??? What kind of sunblock is this? Good thing I did not went outside yet 'coz I'm still gearing up for my afternoon workout outside. Lol! Honestly, I don't recommend this sunblock if you're using whitening products 'coz I guess it won't work effectively on you but I recommend this to those who wants to have a tanning effect but with sun protection. But if you're like me who literally buy a sunblock to protect you from turning chocolate color then this product is not for us!!! Oh Lord!!! This is the worst sunblock lotion and spray ever. Sorry, Avon! This product didn't worked for me but maybe this worked to others...maybe... :) Anyway, I will be posting a lot of Avon products and haul for my next post. I still love Avon products though even if this one is a flop. Coppertone and Banana Boat sunblock products are still my number one on my list though they are really expensive for a middle class like me. His skin is not reddish in color even if he's indoor and he even wore an elbow length clothing after applying the sunblock spray to his body and lotion to his face and not only an hour he turned red unlike the before photo which he only uses the Banana boat sunblock and it's for kids. Lol! I guess the spray is not really effective as a sunblock unlike the lotion variety.

or rice wine which formed during the fermentation process. Kojic acid is responsible for changing and preserving color in substances and is popularly used in cosmetics in Japan mainly. Since Kojie.san has kojic acid, it has a micro peeling effect, which makes it a potent whitening product plus this acid present in this soap contains antioxidants and 100% natural ingredients. So it does not contain any harmful chemicals which could damage our skin. The soap is very affordable too and it's sold anywhere especially in Watsons stores. I've noticed there are lots of soaps imitating Kojie.san already but it's better to be sure on what we apply to our skin. Use only skin products that are of high quality and award winning and Kojie.san falls under this category. As to this line goes below which is very witty in my opinion, Results may vary when everyone tries to be you. The bar that sets the bar ---Kojie.san.
